acolono is inviting you to a special English stand up comedy night during DDD.  

Get ready for an unforgettable night of laughter as three incredible comedians take the stage by storm! Join us for a side-splitting stand-up comedy show featuring the witty Dave Thompson as your charming compare. Kickstarting the evening with his hilarious anecdotes and sharp observations, the talented Tamas Vamos will leave you in stitches with his unique comedic style. And to top it all off, the brilliant Mark Maier will bring the house down with his uproarious closing act. Brace yourself for an evening filled with non-stop laughter and unforgettable moments. Don't miss this comedy extravaganza!

It is just ten minutes by foot from the DDD venue. So there is no excuse not to join us (just if you don't get a ticket, because we have a hard limit of 100 attendees).

Dave Thompson (UK)

Dave has performed his stand-up comedy act in forty-nine countries. Known for his one-liners and absurd persona, Dave has written material for many other comics, including Harry Hill, Omid Djalili, and Stewart Lee. He's best-known for having been the actor in the Tinky Winky costume in the world famous TV show 'Teletubbies’.

In the last year he’s had speaking parts in 'The Munsters', a Hollywood feature film, ’The Last Kingdom’ on Netflix, and two American drama series - ‘The Continental’, and 'Fallen'.

Tamas Vamos

(Hungary / South Africa, living in Vienna)

Tamas is a half Hungarian, half South – African all round great guy who first tried doing stand up comedy in 2014 in Vienna as a “laugh” but having years of experience in improvisation as well as acting in theatres and small movies, he quickly got addicted and fell in love with the stage light (once again).     
Since then he became not only a creator but one of the staples of the Vienna comedy scene.

His storytelling style comedy is balanced perfectly with unexpected hard hitting punch lines, (very) dark humour and political incorrectness!

Mark Maier

(UK)

Multi award winning writer and comedian Mark Maier, is a highly sought after performer on both the national and international comedy circuits. He has played Germany, Holland, Ireland, Hong Kong, Bahamas, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand – and has also appeared at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles and Caroline’s in New York.

Mark regularly performs with the critically-acclaimed ‘Comedy Store Players’. He has taught improvisational comedy in London and founded the group ‘MadLib’ which performed at the Edinburgh Festival. His ability to tailor material on demand has also made him very popular with corporate bookers. Mark appeared in many UK television shows and radio shows. 

Before pursuing his lifelong interest in comedy, Mark had a successful career in advertising. In America he wrote and performed in radio commercials and won numerous writing awards, including the prestigious ‘World’s Best Broadcasting Advertisement’ at the Hollywood Radio & Television Awards. He continues to be in demand for voice over work and has an extensive repertoire of accents.
